Football fans anyone?

Heya, gang. The news dropped, so I can finally share with ya some more stuff that I worked on.
Last year I had been working on Upperdeck's NFL quarterback football line,
and the figures are scheduled to hit the market at the end of this month, and the beginning of February.
I was super excited beyond belief when asked to be part of the making of.

I was really lucky one of the designs was of Brett Favre, and my pops is a HUGE Green Bay fan. He's got the cheese head gear and all! haha This'll be a nice birfday present to him.

Any way, I saw online that the news had dropped, and I wanted to give y'all a heads up if you wanted to scoop them up.

so i was walking to the art store today to pick up some animation tape, and grid paper, and i had this crazy thought and it cracked me up. this was the image i saw in my head.

Here's some quickies I drew tonight to get a better feel of my characters.

if i were still a kid....

if i were still a kid physically i'd have loved to have a room set up somewhat like this. it'd have big bay windows to lay in to read. i used to love love love reading when i was younger, but due to other obligations i can't find the time, and when i do, i fall asleep! haha ahem....SO anyhow, i wouldn't want a complicated room. but one with a loft-type feel. an extra level where i could go play with my g.i. joe or heman toys that i'd launch from it with my handmade parachutes, to escape from the battle at castle grayskull. it'd probably be hard to get out of a bed that looked like that. j/k you know i had to add in mallot's pimp-ride.

2007 Sketchbooks updated

HOWDY HOWDY!

I just heard back from some pals that we got approved for our sketchbooks becoming hardbacks.
Because of this, the sketchbooks are no longer available as 4 seperate sketchbooks. They'll be available as 2 seperate hardbacks. All the images that were in the 4 sketchbooks will now be in the 2 hardbacks. Each hardback book will be 44 pages, full color. As far as prices go per book I believe it'll be somewhere around $22-$25. For online purchases please include shipping. $6 US, and $8 for international shipping. Hardback Sketchbook 1: Will have my personal fun designs, Bastion's 7, and Pin-ups in it.



Hardback Sketchbook 2: Is basically my work stuff. It has game designs, cartoon designs, toy designs, covers, backcovers, interiors, and commisions.


The hardbacks won't be available until the end of February/early March, so what I did was I made a condensed convention version for those who want to pick up something at Megacon in Orlando, Florida. The condensed version will be limited, and it'll contain a bit from each book. It'll be 30 pages, full color.

I apologize for the confusion.

Thank you to those that already purchased books. I'll be mailing them out no later than Wednesday. So to be fair (and you know who you are, and so does my email history ) I'll mail you the hardbacks as a thank you when they are printed.

I'll be kickin it with some cool cats at Megacon. The talented Jonboy and I are sharing a table, and we were invited to sit next to our buds skillmasta Alberto Ruiz, and the ladies man himself Joe Pekar. This'll be my first time attending Megacon, and I think Jonboy said the same. We all look forward to seeing you In Feb!

LoneCub

Another design I created yesterday. Lone Cub is one bad mutha. He's a San Diego Chargers' fan, and he ain't ashamed to sport his January bus pass to catch his public limo. Yeah, he rides in style. He wears either the away or home throwback jersey, depending on where he's whoopin booty. I worked up a series of action shots for LoneCub last night, and thought I'd see this one through to colors. I wasn't feeling the leg design on the earlier version from yesterday, so I added a bit more design elements, and a couple of color tweaks. He still likes to ride the public limo nonetheless.

The Perhapanauts pinup

Howdy, y'all! Here's a pin-up I am doing for The Perhapanauts' comic. I just wrapped up pencils of the 2 characters, Choopie, and Big. Todd Dezago had asked me to do one, and with characters as fun as his and Criag Rousseau's, how could I not? Their book is published by Dark Horse Comics. It's a great read, and art is fantastic.

I felt I needed something other than my stiff, 3/4 shot, character designs I've done lately for my Bastion's 7 project. HAHA But hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do when tyring to imply all the character info to viewers, so for this piece I wanted to cut loose a bit and push the poses and foreshortening.

Choopie and Big wouldn't sit still for the pin-up. Them rascals!
