Appa-tunity

I just picked up the new book Nickelodeon put out of Avatar: The Last Airbender; The Art of the Animated Series.

One of my favorite books of all time to date.  There's so much goodies and inspiration from cover to cover, that I couldn't resist to draw Appa.

Hope y'all digs!

LOVE IT!
The style you bring to a character when you redesign it is so appealing.

NIIICE!
Where did you find/get the Art of Avatar book from? Is it out in stores?

Yeah, I got the book last night too! Had to read it cover to cover in the cafe before actually purchasing... it's THAT GOOD! My favorite part is how much they emphasize giving credit to the design team. What I wouldn't give to work with a team like that...

Cute! I really like the last airbender too. I'm in a hurry to be able to watch the movie. I hope it'll be good.
I want an appa like this as teddybear.

I'll probably be stoned for this but I'm not the biggest Avatar fan. I like the fanart that you made tho, the background and light rain falling on Appa just tells a nice story.
