... short and stout. i was too scurred to change Wolvie's costume up, but what i did want to accomplish was to make him feel like he's a runt, and a powerhouse from the waist up.
Isn't wolverine's shapes just really fun to draw? Short and stocky but you can really put a lot of rugged-ness and hard edges. Nice one! Your work has made a great positive effect on my own art path, so Thank You! I really like your art, it's very refreshing.
You mentioned "Tekkonkinkreet" in the previous post, if you liked that please check out "Mind Game" if you haven't, done by the same studio. "Mind Game" has an inspiring visual and animation style that I'm sure you will like too!
On the same topic, "Paprika", a Satoshi Kon film (he also did "Tokyo Godfathers" and "Millenium Actress") is a different visual style but also makes a great impact on the artist's brain!
Just some treats for ya to dig into if ya like (or if you haven't already seen 'em)~ later!
I love seeing different artists' renditions of Wolvie. He may be a little overexposed, but he's so damn cool. Your version is sick, would love to see you do a Wolverine solo story or an X-men tale.
awesome wolvie cheeks! personally i like to draw him with out a mask to really get those hard lines and facial details but your take is an great one! i suggest watching paprika too, i noticed someone else mentioned it already, great film, be sure to check out that director's other films as well. i'd love to see your take on such characters as Aspen matthews or spawn sometime. peace~
This Wolverine is great. His stature is right on and the costume is really refreshing. It's everything cool about his original suit but not so irritatingly primary.
This is just one reason why I try to link people from my blog and DA to your work. I love how you play with proportions, making tried-and-true icons feel new again. I also dig the fact that you use body proportions to work with the characteristics of that character. In the world of 'realistic' comic art, there's no such liberty.
Hello people want to express my satisfaction with this blog very creative and I really like the views of the focus very good indeed Thank you for the helpful information. I hope you keep up the good work on making your blog a success!
I love this, and his lack of wrists!
ReplyDeletei like that you gave his head the characteristics of a wolverine, very maxx like in the proportions.
ReplyDeletegood to see him back in his old school uniform. tired of the all that black leather bull.
(i added you to my blogger as inspirational artists, when you get the chance check out my work. give crits and comments)

ReplyDeleteAwesome look for wolverine. I love the stumpy, runt look for him. Makes him look more badass in my opinion.
