Heya, gang! Our's truly, Victor Cook had a very cool interview over on ENI http://enewsi.com/news.php?catid=194&itemid=11817 about Spectacular Spider-man Animated.
He talks about what you all can look out for in the first 13 episodes. It's a great read, so if you have time, please check it out.
I guess since the designs are officially posted over on the interview, then I'll show ya here, too.
Thanx to my bud Derek for hitting me up with the link,
Hope y'all digs!
Hey man, I dig your work and character design can't wait to see the animated series.
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome dude. I can't wait for the show.
ReplyDeleteHi Sean! I can't wait for the show!
ReplyDeletehey stop by my blog sometime, and I'll note you soon on DA! How's work treating you? Well just saying what up.
Brandon Robinson, StudioRisingStar
These designs look really really good, but most of all, they scream CHEEKS to me! At least, more than the Hellboy ones. Congrats Sean, you're the man.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Once again congratulations Sean! :)
ReplyDeleteNuno
Great desgins and the animation looked pretty good for TV standards, judging from the trailer. They managed to be more true to your style than with Hellboy. Really looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteThese designs definately have more of your flavour, I'M SO EXCITED :) Congratulations. Looking forward to the show
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you Sean . . .great style,
ReplyDeleteMAC
very nice. i dig Connors with the cyborg arm. nice touch. really, really looking forward to this!
ReplyDeleteJamenson look like a nazi!!!jajaja, really funny. Connors with a cyborg arm? I don't think so, but how i'm to desagred?
ReplyDeleteNice work fella, keep on trucking!!!
Very cool! Sean!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the comic book based on the show!
Best!
Dario.
Your Gwen Stacy is my new cartoon crush.
ReplyDeleteWas that out loud? Damn.
When are we gonna see some villains?
ReplyDeleteDigging the designs. Only complaint is Conners. Any reason for the cybernetic arm? I know its comic related cartoons for kids or whatever, but I dont see the reason for covering up his amputated arm. Seems to imply theres something wrong having a handicap and looks kind of cheesy in my opinion. Everything else looks great though. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! I didn't know you did the designs for the new Spider Man toon! Congrats on that! Love you work!

ReplyDeleteHey Sean, first time post'r long time reader. Love the new look Spidy and can't wait to get it here in Australia. Keep up the great work dude.
ReplyDeleteMan, it's awesome, but all the characters look like nice people (Eddie has a little more guts and he thinks he's da man, you know?). Also, Gwen looks like a nerd, instead of Mary Jane; but, they're "your" characters. Suit yourself (they're nice, anyway)
ReplyDeleteOMG Other then Peter looks like me without my Trademark Cap and Glassess and well you know!! YOU ROCK!!! and finally we get to see MJ!! I LOVE UR J JOHN JAMERSON!!! He's Perfecrt!!!
ReplyDeleteNice! JJJ has a nice Hitler quality. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYo cheeks,
ReplyDeleteIm lovin these designs, especially JJJ.
Congratulations on coming up on this gig, I can only imagine as a fellow artist and HUGE SPIDY FAN what an amazing feeling it must be.
Peace,
Famous
Cool. A "junior college" version of Peter Parker! Finally a reason to watch tv again.

Can you at least describe some of the villains looks if you can't post them?
ReplyDeletelooks like a stellar show Sean!
ReplyDeleteAwesome characters. I love the chief!
Awsome stuff, It was great to see you at Comic-Con and once again for all of the kind words about my Hoofprint Sketchbook! A friend on the Simpsons is training/ helping me with a possible layout position!
ReplyDeleteGreat work, they actually look like teenagers.
ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to this show.
Magic work - from fresh new looks to some of my favourites, and they work really well.
ReplyDeleteI was also wondering if you have any sketchbooks left for sale? Desperately trying to get hold of some (if they're sold out - any plans for a re-print?)- Brand Studios is all out.
Hope to hear from you soon, great work again - Cheers.

Hi Sean, I found your blog inside the Jose Lopez's blog, but I knew your art inside Deviant. Well, I like very much your stile and your caracters. You are a great artist.
ReplyDeleteGood work again. Man, i hope that the tv series can keep the color that you have. It tends to saturate everything a little too much. Look foward to seeing it.
ReplyDeleteWadup man, Hot as usual.
ReplyDeleteI LIKE how happy they all are... just to be there.
ReplyDelete(except for JJJ)
Thats a great Gwen Stacy design. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. The animation seems to retain the flavor of your character designs more than the Hellboy Animated DVDs. Which is cool, because your style is pretty freakin' awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt's odd that MJ looks like the popular hot girl and Gwen looks like the She's The One cute girl in dork's clothing. Will the storyline surprise us, I wonder?
