Spider-Man Animated

Hi, everyone. How goes your week so far? Just wanted to update you all about the sketchbooks. I mailed out more today, and will mail out this week's, and last weeks's orders throughout the week. :highfive:

In other news...

I was told I can announce that I'll be character designing for Spider-man Animated. Thank you all for believing in me. Your energy has motivated, and inspired me to no end, and I can't express that enough. I hope I can return the same to you all with the pieces I create.

**Update***********************************
I wanted to mention that I'll be working alongside Greg Weisman (Gargoyles' creator), and Vic Cook (Director on Hellboy Animated's Blood and Iron).

  1. Well, I'll be watching no doubt! I bought the Hellboy Animated DVD and there was a great interview you did in the extras. Let's hope for more of that with Spidey.

Congratulations. I can think of no one else more deserving.

  22. hey dude I’ve been a fan of your work for a while, I first saw your stuff on skottie's forum(r.i.p) I’ve been looking at your blog for ages now and I’ve never left a post before, but this news really excites me because I love your rendition of Spiderman man.

Enfact the first drawing I saw of yours was a spidey pic. He was looking over his shoulder back at a baby with a rucksack on his back and if I remember correctly he had a medic band on him.

It’s a great image and it started my love for your work. I’m really happy, and happy for you. To get the opportunity design Spiderman for an animated series is amazing, well done!

  23. I gotta put some chips aside for this book. Nice blog btw. I really dig your work man. I actually think we both were doing designs for the same gigs a few times. (Hellboy for Film Roman being one) Who did you use to print up your books, they look great in quality? I was thinking about going with lulu, but if you could direct me to some other good options, I might just have to come out of the pockets.

  33. Dude, thinking of every Spidey you've posted so far all I can say is: you deserve that!

Besides, we are the ones who're gonna profit from that!

Hope Spidey is a teenager in this series. Your teenage designs rock!

Looking forward for seeing that one!

-Please don't make Venom look like the size of the Hulk, make him just a little bigger than spidey.

-Make the Green Goblin have a black body suit with purple knee and elbow pads with spikes on them.
Give him purple gloves and boots, and a purple helmet that goes over his green latex goblin mask.
Give him arm blades, and a knife straped to one of his legs.
Make his pumpkin bombs come out of his glider instead of a purse that he carries.

-Make Doc Ock look like the movie version.

-Make the Hobgoblin have a black body suit with orange knee and elbow pads with spikes on them.
Give him orange gloves and boots, and a orange cloak/hood that goes over his yellowish green latex goblin mask.
Make him have a laser pistol straped to one of his legs, and a sword straped to his back.

-Make Kraven look kinda like Gerald Butler from the movie "300".

-Make the Lizard look like a lizard instead of a dinosaur, and make him have a dirty white lab coat with a name tag saying Dr. Connors on it.And give him some pants, something like brown, black,or grey ones.
Please don't make the Lizard too big.

-Try and give every villain there own color scheme instead of every villain being in green.
